The Ceremony
The ceremony starts at 9:30 a.m. and will be held in the Coors Events Center, located on the Boulder Campus on Regent Drive.
Guest Seating
Guests should plan on arriving well before 9:00 a.m. in order to be in their seats for the student processional. No tickets are required for the ceremony. Early arrival will guarantee the best seating. The doors to the Coors Events Center will open at 7:30 a.m.
Procession
Students should line up on the concourse (upper) level of the Coors Events Center by 8:45 a.m., wearing their academic regalia. Lineup will be by college or school; arts and sciences will assemble at the southwest entrance, all other at the southeast entrance. The procession will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m.
During the Ceremony
Please stand for the singing of the national anthem and the CU alma mater. Students should also stand for the conferring of the degrees for their college or school, as announced. Doctoral and law students will come to the platform to be individually recognized.
Please remain seated at the end of the ceremony for the recessional of the platform party. The university commencement ceremony will last approximately one and a half hours.
