The Celebration Doesn’t End at Commencement

The commencement ceremony is our premier event to celebrate all graduating Buffs—but it’s not the only ceremony where you can celebrate your student. Colleges, schools, departments and programs also host recognition ceremonies to recognize your student’s accomplishments in a more intimate setting.

What to Expect From Recognition Ceremonies

At the commencement ceremony, all fall, spring and summer graduating students will have their degrees conferred with their college, school, department or program and celebrate their transition into the Forever Buffs community.

At recognition ceremonies, your student’s name is called along with their peers in their academic unit. They will cross the stage to receive their diploma cover and have an opportunity to take pictures of them in their regalia.

Plan to attend the commencement and recognition ceremonies to celebrate your Buff’s graduation in style.
