Stay Ahead of Dates & Deadlines This Graduation Season

Prepare to graduate by marking your calendar with this year’s important dates and deadlines. Know when you need to apply to graduate, update your diploma name and more to ensure your celebrations go smoothly.

Celebration Dates

• April 29–May 2, 2024—Grad Days
• 4–7 p.m. May 2, 2024—Grad Bash at Koenig Alumni Center
• May 9, 2024—Commencement 2024 ceremony at Folsom Field and spring degree conferral
• May 9–11, 2024—Recognition ceremonies hosted by colleges, schools, departments and programs
• August 22, 2024—Summer 2024 degree conferral date

Key Graduation Deadlines

• March 1, 2024—Last day for graduate and MBA students to submit or cancel a graduation application
• April 1, 2024—Last day to submit a graduation application to get your name in the 2023–24 commencement program
• April 1, 2024—Last day for law students to submit or cancel a graduation application
• April 28, 2024—Deadline for doctoral students to update diploma name and address
• May 2, 2024—Last day for undergraduates to submit or cancel a graduation application
• May 31, 2024—Deadline for undergraduate, master’s and law students to update diploma name and address
• June 26–August 23, 2024—Diploma delivery window for spring graduates with U.S. addresses 
• June 26–October 4, 2024—Diploma delivery window for spring graduates with international addresses
