Many colleges, schools, departments and programs host recognition ceremonies after the commencement ceremony. Graduating students will receive information about their recognition ceremony in the weeks leading up to commencement.
Guests who require accessibility accommodations for any of the recognition ceremonies should contact the hosting unit at least seven days before the event so arrangements can be made.
Requesting Real-time Captioning or Sign Language Interpreting
If you would like to request real-time captioning or a sign language interpreter for a recognition ceremony, please contact the ADA Compliance Office at adacoordinator@colorado.edu or visit the ADA & Accessibility website at least seven days before the ceremony. Please include information about the location and time of the ceremony in your request.
The ADA Compliance office will make all reasonable efforts to fulfill requests submitted after the deadline. However, we cannot guarantee requests we receive after the deadline because they depend on a service provider’s availability.
